I've come to a realization recently.

We were on a job - I don't remember where. Only little things stayed with me from that trip:

Like how the air tasted in the desert - sharp and earthy.

The vision of sundogs in the clouds up above us.

Everything was so quiet; I could hear the tumbleweeds at our feet.

…Then he leaned into me - I felt his touch on my arm as if he'd warn me of danger
- and the scent of him overwhelmed me. His cologne was the surrounding desert,
with all its wonderful stillness.

…And I knew I was home.
